Kiss Me Sunkiller BB Cream

I first came across this product on WHB's blog, and was intrigued by what it promised. SPF broad spectrum protection, and coverage in one handy product? Time to do some shopping...





I bought this from my usual Asian beauty product source Adambeauty. Packaging wise it is quite simple, very much like Biore sunscreens which have a ball inside to help mix the product when shaken.

Coverage is fairly decent, it is better than a tinted moisturizer, falling just short of a full coverage foundation. To put this into context, it is definitely much better than Laura Mercier or Covergirl tinted moisturizers but sheerer than Lunasol Water Cream foundation.

As for the wear, because the base feels very much like a water-resistant sunscreen because it stays for a good many hours (except for when I'm at the gym)

It does however have a mattiying effect, which will suit oily skintypes more. Since I have dry to combination skin, it worked for me during the hot summer this year but is becoming a bit too drying on my skin during the fall to winter season. Unless I happened to have exfoliated the day before it tends to highlight dry patches on my skin. If you don't have any issues with dry skin though then this would still work for you in winter.

Overall, the Kiss Me Sunkiller BB is a handy all in one face product that I consider a lifesaver in the mornings when I can't be bothered to apply sunscreen, wait for it to dry and then foundation/base. Definitely a staple in my collection!

Quick reviews of some BB creams

A long time ago I received some BB cream samples from the lovely Mayaari to try. Tons of bloggers have already reviewed these in detail though but I thought I would weigh in with a quick comparison-review between the 3.



In the pot - BB creams always seem to have a pinkish yet grayish tone to them.

I find they are all a bit too pinkish for my NC20-25 skintone, most likely because my skin has very strong yellow undertones. Once applied on the face they are sheered out somewhat but still the pink is a bit noticeable for me.

Dr Jart's coverage was fine but it felt rather heavy on my skin. I wouldn't want to be wearing this daily as I'd be afraid it would break me out.

Skinfood was my favourite, the texture was great and applied smoothly on my skin. The coverage was good too, it covered up the ruddiness of my cheeks and hid my pores quite nicely. It didn't feel as heavy as Dr Jart too. The only issue was that the colour made my face look a bit pinker than my neck.

L'egere was my least favourite of the bunch. it was the hardest to spread, and it didn't seem to cover as well as Skinfood did. The product also made my skin look a bit dry, emphasizing my laugh lines.

I know BB creams are marketed as skincare + makeup, but I feel they are primarily makeup since its not something I could use to replace my moisturizer. These still require some hydration underneath, and heaven forbid if I wear them to bed. I'd probably be all broken out due to the high silicone content.

Sorry I have been absent again! Work has been a killer, plus I started getting sick this week, foolishly downed a mug of NeoCitran Night yesterday, which basically knocked me out until...about an hour or two ago? Haha so sad...I basically spent Sunday just sleeping. I am going to try to blog more this week though.

As for the post title...I think everyone loves receiving packages in the mail, and these were no exception for me :) Plus, its not very often that one gets packages from locations such as Greece, and UK! In fact, usually I just get junk mail...:P

First, I did a swap with Cris for the Korres Wild Rose mask but received so much more!



She even took the time to handwrite the instructions for me in English since the box was all Greek to me ;)

Not only that, she included samples of the Korres Wild Rose moisturizer, as well as tons and tons skincare samples from Oriflame, another Greek a Swedish brand.



But my favourite part are the mini Oriflame lipstick samples, aren't they cute? They remind me of crayons for some reason, haha :0




And finally the Korres Wild Rose mask! I had this on my wishlist for a while because its gotten really great reviews on MUA for brightening skin. I will have to try it out for a month or so and see.

More samples - Dr Ci:Labo collagen mask (something I've been wanting to try after seeing Faux Fashionista's review), Korean collagen serum, Primavista samples, also some paper masks (not here but in the first picture. I think they are masks right? lol)




I must say I like how the Freshel powder sample actually came with its own sponge, thats not usually something I would expect in a sample.
