Happy Lunar New Year!

Hope you had a great new year with lots of red packets, if you celebrate it! I had a 3 day weekend which was nice, but somehow didn't get much done.

I apologize for being away from the blog for so long. I've been focusing on grad school applications so I basically spent the last few weeks studying for the tests or lurking around blogs via Google Reader.

Saturday (just before New Year) I finally managed to get my hair cut. I kinda didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted so the end result wasn't quite to my liking. The length was what I wanted but I think next time I would ask for the back to be shorter relative to the sides.

Used Too Faced Smurfette lip gloss and Bourjois Ambre d'Or blush that day.

Sunday for Chinese New Year we had hotpot at home. I decided to wear gold themed eyeshadow in line with the occasion:

All colours were from the Maybelline Amber Adventure quad, one of my first ever quads when I started getting into makeup. Haven't used it in ages so it was nice to find it again in my stash. The bottom lashline (very faint, I know) had a little bit of gold liner on the outer 1/2 (MAC Brassy Fluidline).

Anyway next weekend is the beauty blogger meetup in Toronto hosted by the lovely Farah, and I'm super excited for it! Hope your week goes well :)

love your hair! i think it looks pretty :) but yea whenever i get mine cut, i always ask for it to be "a-lined".. shorter in back than in front. just makes my life easier.

I love this look! The colours look so pretty together.

I think your new haircut suits you. I guess it just takes time to get used to.

I think your hair looks great! I'm in desperate need of a hair cut but I always put it off because I never know what to do with it. I really like your cut! :)

cute haircut! it really suits you ^^ A very up-to-date bob.. you should try to wave it ! as you know i cut mine back in Aug! No regrets... I cant wait to go back to my mid-lenght/long hair soon tho!

I kinda envy people who can go really short. Myself, it cannot go past my shoulders, otherwise I feel...ugh. I blame it on the horrible bobs that I was kinda forced to wear as a kid (cause my mom thought it looked cute on me).

Anyway...make sure to take pics at the Blogger meet up! I can't be there, but at least I can live through you guys right :D

& Happy New Year :P

the bronze/gold eye is pretty :)

haha i always end up getting the same sort of haircut - like izumi, an A-line bob...even after one stylist told me she didn't want to give me an A-line bob, that's what I got! (though she did a really good job with the angles)

hope you get into the grad school at the top of your list - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :)

I think your hair would look awesome a tad shorter. If you're going to go short, go all the way! =) You are so brave to cut it so short.

i actually wasn't wearing a bra with the dress xD hahaa. i want to find a low cut one but it'd also have to have a super low cut back.. and i don't wear that dress often enough for me to want to buy a whole new bra, especially at VS prices.. but yea, i was looking at a few on VS when i first got the dress. i'm sure you could find other ones that worked just as well at other stores.

either way, they look like they'd feel super awkward to wear. but hey, anything beats looking super flat :P

let me know if you do find one :)
