Chanel Rouge Allure Laque

Thanks for the well wishes on my holiday and the input on the duty free items :) Looks like I will be getting the Meteorites trio then :D

Here's a review on one of my current favourite products, the Chanel Rouge Allure Laque:

The packaging is simple but feels heavy and luxurious. The product is dispensed with a doe foot applicator, which picks up quite a lot of product, enough to cover lips. (No double dipping required unlike some other products.)

The colour I purchased was Ming, which I would describe as a medium pink with a touch of rose.

This was my first liquid lipstick and I'm quite impressed with the pigmentation so far. The colour is opaque, with excellent coverage that shows up even on my naturally pigmented lips.

So far this is one of my favourite lipsticks. It has the coverage of a matte lipstick but the shine of a cream lipstick. The product has a more moisturizing feel than regular lipsticks without being greasy at all. The only complaint I might have is the doe's foot applicator being a bit less sanitary than a tube lipstick. Then again, it would be hard to create a tube lipstick with the same moisturizing feel of a liquid.

So overall - definitely recommended! The price IS steep (~US$32), but since this is a colour I could wear often, I think its worth it :)

I love love love these lipsticks!! I have four of them and love them dearly, and I hope now that Chanel has finished launching Rouge Coco (which I also adore) they will put more colours in this range!

Have you tried Dragon? It is my HG red, so perfect :D

This is a beautiful colour on you! I don't own any Chanel, but I'm itching to try their lip products. Maybe a Rouge Allure Laque or a Rouge Coco. Time for a trip to Holts. :)

I thought this is going to be too shimmery, but it looks so nice on your lips!

I have to agree with you, Ming is the most wearable colour ever and is the lippy that I reach out for the most.

What a pretty colour! Do you have to keep re-applying through-out the day??
