Happy Lunar New Year !

Happy Lunar New Year! :)

What do you normally do to celebrate?

When I was a kid my family would travel back to my dad's hometown and meet up with relatives there at the traditional family dinner. Sadly I won't be able to join them this year. I'll be meeting up with some friends for dinner to celebrate though.

Oh, and if any of you have a New Year's FOTD/FOTN, do share :) I've been seeing a lot of great Valentine's Day FOTDs, but would love to see some Lunar New Year ones.

Hmm...interesting challenge. I don't know what would be a good look for Lunar? I celebrate it mostly with parents and older adults, so I don't know how popular my eye makeup would go over with them, haha.

Mine's always boring. My hometown's boring, my relatives are boring, so no makeup is required :P

emilee: lol i guess you're right! i didn't think about that...probably because i haven't been to a family reunion dinner in ages...and i wasn't into makeup back then.

nic: mine's pretty boring too...:( i don't know if i could do a look though because the colours i have in mind are gold and red but i don't know any brands that have a true red shadow?

glad it helped :) i have 5 ELF compacts even though I store most of my shadows in the MAC 15 pan palettes. I like using the ELF ones for transport though because of how it comes with a mirror, plus its cheap.

faux fashionista: lol, at least you'll still get red packets ? :)

Happy New Year!

My grandma usually has a huge gathering at her house where she would make a million dishes to eat. After the meal we would all gamble the night away.

Oh and I'd get so many red envelopes too, from all of my older relatives xD

I didn't get to go home this year, but I had hot pot with some of my Chinese friends :]

LOL, Happy (belated) Lunar New Year! I was hoping to see s'more New Year FOTDs too but :( My family always attends this giant function thing thrown by the local Vietnamese community. When I was younger, my entire family on my dad's side would get together for a huge dinner at my grandma's house.
