Hana Professional Flat Iron

I was requested to try and review the Hana Professional Flat Iron by Misikko. I received the pink one, which is quite a girly colour :)

- Comes in a 1" and 1.5" size as well.
- Ceramic plates
- Tourmaline infused into the heating elements for maximum thermal protection
- Temperature adjustable from 140 F to 450 F
- Indicator light blinks when temperature is reached
- Runs on 120 V
- Tangle-free cord

At first I tried to be conservative and use the iron at a lower temperature around 200 F, however it was hard to get good results with just one pass. The next time, in the pic below I set it to 300 F and it straightened quite well!

I googled for the ideal temperature to straighten hair and it sounds like the best results for normal hair is around 300-380 F anyway, so I guess thats why the first time didn't work out.

Here are some before and after pictures:

Here are my pros and cons:

Pros:
- heats up fairly quickly
- temperature adjustable from 140 F to 450 F
- cute all-pink option

Cons:
- single voltage only (120V)
- pink colour could be better (I'd prefer a hot pink or pale feminine pink)

Overall I think this is a great flat iron to have if you want a professional flat iron without spending big bucks for GHD. It straightens just as well, and comes in a cute pink colour as well as black. Currently Misikko also offers a free iron mat and storage pouch with your purchase, as well as a 2 year extended warranty.

I also tried a sample of the Hana Shine Serum:

The serum is a clear liquid with a thin silicone texture. It smells good but be careful not to use too much as the scent would overpower any perfume you might be wearing. It smoothed the ends of my hair nicely and is supposed to protect hair from styling damage.

Misikko offers various other hair straighteners as well. They have Chi flat irons for sale, as well as FHI flat irons, To find out their best flat iron you can check out the list here.

I'll be posting a US & Canada giveaway for this flat iron soon so stay tuned if you're interested! :)

omegash! you got it XD
I am way too lazy to spend time on straightening hair, but I love that it keeps curls better. regular curlers just don't cut it for me. guess cause they aren't really hot enough
