Anyway I woke up today with really messy bed hair. I like it though, it almost looks deliberately done :) Too bad it doesn't happen consistently all over. I liked the left side but the right side was too messy to post pictures off haha...
Went for a very natural look today. Usually I like to experiment with colours on weekends, but today I was meeting an old friend for lunch so I wanted to look like a nice version of myself rather than a colourful version. It felt a bit weird forcing myself not to use more eyeshadow colours. The thing is I have this hang up about wearing bright colours around friends I haven't seen in a while, or people that I don't know too well. I don't want the first / last impression of me to be like "Whoa, she has some really blue eyeshadow on...". Do any of you ever feel that way?

I look very ulzzangy here....it wasn't intended at all. However, I was using my Acuvue Define circle lenses which definitely contributed to the effect.
Anyway, if I hadn't been running late, I would've added some white eyeshadow on the lower lashline to make myself look more wide awake.
I do like how its a very matte look, which means I can use it for situations like when I need passport pictures taken. I would definitely stay away from shimmer when doing pictures to avoid looking like an oil slick. I would swap out the mineral makeup for liquid foundation though, because I don't want the titanium dioxide to reflect the flash.
Please let me know what you are doing with your significant others for V-Day, because I have no idea what to get / do for mine...

smile baby smile! :) get him a vday package made of a few things that u think he'll like or need. For my bfs bday I got him chapstick, perfume, a water tumbler n a pendrive. He loved it cos he needed everything! Try it. Simple way to make him happy :)
I am planning on...um, dinner. And probably Pinkberry. Other than that, I have no idea what I'm/we're going to do for Valentine's Day. I guess I'm kind of lame because I think it's kind of overrated, so we're probably going to treat it as a special dinner night.
I do, however, have something coming in the mail for Valentine's day, hehe. As for the bf, I'm probably going to get him a game for his Wii or XBox since they keep coming out with games that he wants to play.
Does your bf use perfume, maybe you could buy him that.The makeup really complement your complexion and give a clean ,glowy look to it and it does have an ulzzang vibe heheh, the circle lens totally suit you :).
I really like this look. Its chic, understated and really low maintenance :) I won't be around to celebrate Vday with my boy though :(

cassandra: i'll try...:) i always have problems smiling in pictures...usually comes out a bit fake. hmm that sounds good, i'll try to come up with some things he needs.
emilee: i still think it is overrated, but i feel like i should be different this year and do something instead of waiting for him to do anything. he usually gets whatever games he wants the day it comes out so its hard to beat him to it. The only game he hasn't gotten but I know he wants is Rock Band, but I know he doesn't want me to spend that much money on a gift for him :S

Hey Blue, just an fyi for you: for the Shiseido look, the colour of the lips is mainly due to the Chanel glossimer moreso than the MAC lipstick. It's a dupe for NARS Orgasm lipgloss - I think MAC has one too. Try that. I think it should give you the colour you want.
I love the bedhead look. My hair looks great with bedhead too but I think it's the lack of consistency, like you said, that keeps me from walking out of the house with like that.
My boyfriend and I already exchanged gifts - we suck at surprises. I bought him a Rock Band (it's a video game) watch and drum case. I think we're just going out to dinner. We're pretty boring people. LOL.

I know what you mean by going with a natural look when meeting up with friends. And, I SO KNOW what you mean by having to "force" myself to wear more neutral colours. My Dior quintets are spoiling me: I want to put on multiple colours and blend them like a mad woman for a smooth look but I remind myself that sometimes, one swatch of shimmery gold or brown or even grey is all that's needed.
my man made a reservation at this fancy shmancy restaurant and I GOT CALLED INTO WORK FLSKDFJ:IWEJDSF:KSDLFJF!!!!!
so we won't be doing anything special that night :(
